Elizabeth Taylor to have her heart surgery
Elizabeth Taylor is just the typical legendary actress for me before. Although, Taylor is considered one of the great actresses of Hollywood’s golden years, as well as a larger-than-life celebrity, I just consider her one of the few actresses who is still doing well in the industry. But after the much talked about death of MJ, I have come to know Taylor as the wonderful best friend one would wish to have especially in the world of Hollywood.
Last October 2009, Elizabeth Taylor who is known for her acting skills and beauty, with her Hollywood lifestyle, including many marriages announced that she is going into hospital for heart surgery. The 77-year-old was asking for prayers because she was diagnosed with congestive heart failure five years ago. She announced her heart problem on her Twitter page, saying that she wanted to break the news before the media found out. According to her, she likes to let people know before it gets in the papers that she will going into the hospital to have a procedure on her heart. The Heart Surgery procedure it relatively new and it involves fixing her absorbent valve using a clip device, without open heart surgery, so that her heart will function better. She also added that any prayers you happen to have lying around, she would dearly be grateful for. And she will let people know when it’s all over.
Despite being diagnosed five years ago, I wonder why it is only now that she chose to do the surgery. Maybe her condition was worsened by the grief of losing MJ. Moreover, despite being often seen in wheelchair in her uncommon public appearances it is surprising to know that has passionately embraced Twitter in recent months as a way of communicating directly with her fans.
